The 2010 Silenus Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of our estate grown fruit and two other exclusive Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards. The wine was aged for 22 months in oak barrels, of which 40% were new French oak and 10% were new American oak.
The wine has a beautiful deep ruby red color with a complex array of aromas including cedar, raspberry, baked fruit and oak. On the palate the wine has deep, rich red fruit flavors of raspberry and cherry cordial with a background of cocoa and roasted nuts. It has a lingering finish of cherry, dark chocolate and vanilla favors. The wine has plenty of structure and is built to age.
