The Silenus 2010 Napa Valley Merlot is made from some of the best Merlot vineyards in the Napa Valley. The blend also contains some of our estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The wine was fermented in small batches in stainless steel tanks and aged for 22 months in small oak barrels, 20% of which were new French or American oak.
The wine has deep ruby and garnet hue and a seductive nose of blackberries, ripe plum, cedar, and spice. On the palate the wine is full yet refreshing with flavors of cherry and plums with a touch of vanilla and oak. The finish is soft and pleasant.
