The Silenus 2011 Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is from our estate vineyard surrounding the winery. It is a blend of the very best Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from our estate lots. The wine was aged for 22 months in 70% new French oak, 10% new American oak and 20% neutral oak barrels.
This classic Cabernet Sauvignon has a dark ruby-red color with a full, inviting nose filled with aromas of roasted nuts, plum and currants. The flavors on the palate are lush and full while remaining bright and fresh. Plum, raspberry, vanilla, hazelnut and chocolate dominate. As the wine ages the flavors will turn more savory showcasing figs and espresso. This is a classic wine that will age extremely well.
