The Silenus 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of our estate grown fruit and other exclusive Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards. When creating this wine, the entire vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon is tasted in barrel and only the best 20 barrels are selected for the final blend. The wine is aged in 50% new French oak, 10% new American oak, and 40% neutral oak barrels.
The wine has a beautiful deep ruby red color with a complex array of aromas including baking spice, currants and plums. It is rich on the palate with dark red fruit as well as underlying mission fig flavors. Generous oak frames the wine with vanilla, chocolate and roasted nuts. The wine is built to age.
