This is an extremely small production wine made from 100% estate grown fruit from a vineyard that is located between Dry Creek and our Barrel Room. The vineyard is warm during the day but cools down significantly at night, perfect for this varietal. This vineyard’s location and terroir imparts classic Cabernet Franc aromas of violet and perfume along with underlying peppery and herbal flavors complimented by the ripe red fruit flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. This bottling is designed to present Cabernet Franc in its own intriguing glory.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of blackberry, violets and currants blend seamlessly with notes of anise and soft leather on the nose. The more you indulge the wine, the deeper and more intriguing the aromas become, yielding darker berries and herbal qualities. The entry and mid-palate display beautiful fruit flavors of sweet dark cherry and plum blended with darker spicy, pepper and toasted oak flavors. This wine is at once vibrant and refreshing while being deeply satisfying with a finish of cocoa, toasted vanilla and berries that lingers lovingly. Pair with hard cheeses, grilled lamb chops, or pizza with wild mushroom and caramelized onion.
