This is an extremely small production wine made from 100% estate grown fruit from a vineyard that is located between Dry Creek and our Barrel Room. The vineyard is warm during the day but cools down significantly at night, perfect for this varietal. This vineyard’s location and terroir imparts classic Cabernet Franc aromas of violet and perfume along with underlying peppery and herbal flavors. These are complimented by the ripe red fruit flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, small amounts of both used for blending. This bottling is designed to present Cabernet Franc in its own intriguing glory.

Tasting Notes:

A complex nose with layers of cedar, violets and ripe berries blend seamlessly with bright red fruit notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum dominate the dark chocolate and toasted oak in the background. This wine is at once vibrant and refreshing while being deeply satisfying with a finish of cocoa, toasted vanilla and berries that lingers lovingly. Pair with hard cheeses, grilled lamb chops, or rosemary chicken.
