The fruit for the 2015 Silenus Dry Riesling comes from the Carneros region starting in the Southern portion of the Napa Valley. At peak ripeness the fruit was harvest in the wee hours of the morning. The fruit was then gently whole-cluster pressed to a settling tank. After settling for two days, the juice was moved to small stainless steel tanks for a long, cold fermentation.

Tasting Notes:

This is a refreshing and intensely fruity wine. The nose is fresh and welcoming with tropical aromas of pineapple, passion fruit and lychee mixed with floral aromas of orange blossom and honeysuckle. On the palate it is bright and crisp with deep and intense fruit flavors of mandarin orange, passion fruit, and pear. It has a long finish where flavors evolve to pineapple with traces of vanilla.

This wine is ready to drink immediately but will develop some intriguing complexities if allowed to age for 5 years or more. Pair with white fish and shellfish, or Thai food.
