Year in and year out the very best Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the best block of our estate vineyard surrounding the winery. The block is planted on an ancient riverbed so the soils are more gravelly and well drained, which results in very deep, rich fruit flavors. The entire vineyard is fabulous, but we like to show off this particular block by bottling a portion separately as our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The oak is 90% new French and 10% new American, all barrel fermented and barrel aged for 22 months. The wine is then bottled aged for 2 years to allow for optimal fruit and oak integration.

Tasting Notes:

Deep ruby red and soft velvet colors paired with intriguing aromas of currant, ripe black cherry, cocoa and a hint of earth. This is a big and elegant wine with flavors of bright black cherry, plum, and blackberry rounded out by toasted oak and chocolate notes. It has medium acidity and fine, well integrated tannins. A nice, long finish with red fruit, spicy cinnamon and dark chocolate complete the wine. The wine is seamless, sexy and delicious. Pair with red meats or enjoy with artisan cheeses to really savor the flavors of the wine.
