The 2009 Silenus Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is exclusively from estate vineyards and includes a blend of our very best lots of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine was aged for 26 months in 60% new French oak barrels, 10% new American oak barrels and 30% neutral oak barrels.
The Silenus 2009 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has deep ruby/garnet hue. It has a complex array of aromas with rose petal, violets, raspberry, and fennel. On the palate the wine has deep, lush red fruit flavors of raspberry and cherry cordial with a background of chocolate and mulling spices. On the finish it has a delightful dark chocolate and vanilla crème favors. This wine has and a firm structure and is packed with fruit flavor. It is a big, age worthy Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
