Notes from the Winemaker:

2020 was chaos. Just plain and simple chaos. Worth commemorating and not repeating and what better way to commemorate it than by a wine that is pleasing to drink and makes you forget, for a while, everything. So cook up a feast, invite friends or well-behaved family over and relax and enjoy.

Remember to drink this wine while leaving the outside world, well, outside. Make sure the TV is turned off. You will be much calmer.

Tasting Notes:

The 2020 Khaos blend is actually a wonderful oasis of calm. The nose has hints of cranberry, pomegranate, and dried herbs. The wine on the palate is smooth and silky with refined tannins that grip and gently release leading to cherry cola, white pepper and bright red fruit. The finish is long, wide and rich and calms the nerves.

This is an enjoyable wine to drink on its own and is also extremely food friendly served alongside Mediterranean chicken  kabobs or even a steak au poivre.

blend:

71% Zinfandel: Hoxsey Vineyard, Yountville

21% Merlot: Jaeger Vineyard, Oak Knoll District

8% Cabernet Sauvignon: Silenus Vineyards, Oak Knoll District
